Pucker Up

I've become mildly obcessed with lip products as of late. I've never been one for sticky lip gloss so when people started raving about Baby Lips I had to see what all the fuss was about. I absolutely love them! They are perfect for everyday wear and they low maintenance color. Then I had to get the Sephora birthday gift which was the brown sugar lip treatment and I love those and that they are tiny enough to put in your pocket or wallet! Then I ended up in the Bath and Body Works sale after Christmas with a gift card and I went a little over board. But I really love the mint and lemon flavors and the quality is the best I've had!

(ALL of these may or may not live in my purse)

Thrifting Sneak Peak

Here is a sneak peak look at some lovely prints I found thrifting yesterday. Can't wait to put my spin on them and share the results!

Happy New Year!

I should be fired as a style blogger. I failed to take a picture of my New Years Eve ensemble last night. But I did take this lovely picture for your viewing.
The reason for my lack of pictures has to do mostly with the fact that I was in a horrible mood due to an unnamed hair dresser that thinks 3 inches means 6 inches. So my hair and my confidence about my hair was in shambles last night.

It seems like no matter how late I stayed up on NYE, someone always has to drag me out of bed for a family outing or breakfast. So this morning I found myself in an exhausted state, so here is the conversation I had with myself.

"Hmm...yoga pants"
"Yoga pants? That's how you are going to start off the new year, yoga pants out of your dirty clothes hamper?"

I'm sure many of you found yourself in the same predicament. So here is my non-yoga pant outfit I came up with for the day.

Sweater: $3 thrifted
Scarf: $5 Forever 21 (3 more months to shamelessly rock Forever 21)
Pants: $17 Forever 21
Boots: $20 at Shu Dealz

I know what you are thinking, Shu Dealz? Really Carlie? Let me explain, from time to time I need a pick me up in the form of great/cheap shoes. And this store, while hit and miss, always seems to follow through. Normal shoes start as low as 6.99 and then the most expensive shoes/boots are 19.99. You can't beat that. Obviously we aren't looking for quality at a place like this. Just something fun and unique!

Happy New Year y'all!
